Building types require structural safety glass
Point supported glass facade are usually made with thick monothlic toughened glass/heat soaked glass over 10mm.Thicker glass have higher stiffness,and toughening process brings safety to glass.
Glass Fins provides support and backup structure for structural glass designs and to prevent buckling of the structural glazing.Typical glass fins are 15mm,19mm toughened glass,but more glass are tempered laminated glass with higher strength.

MATERIALS USED IN STRUCTURAL GLASS
Thick monothlic glass,laminated glass,structural laminated glass are typical used in structural glass buildings
10mm,12mm,15mm,19mm are most widely used in structural building,especially point supported glass facade and glass fins.
Tempered laminated glass,21.52mm PVB,25.52mm PVB laminated glass are typical glass fin configuration.
PVB interlayer in most common used in structural glass where project is not high,or glass safety is already ensured ,for example glass stairs,glass floor,glass fins.
Stiff PVB products,including Eastman DG41 and Trosifol Extra Stiff.
The Stiff PVB products performance is similar to SentryGlas Plus in low temperature conditions,while once temperature increase or above 30℃,the PVB shearing relaxation modulus and Yound Relaxation modulus will decrease significantly and finally no difference from normal PVB.So interior structural glass can use stiff PVB products,below is shear relaxation modulus comparison between normal PVB,Stiff PVB,and SGP under 10℃ and 50℃.
